Ban on short term rentals by Carroll Valley Boro

Carroll Valley boro is considering banning short term rentals. What is the best strategy to fight this?

@Sandi-And-Jim0 If you can do some sort of survey with your, and other local hosts, guests to see how much money they spend in the shops and restaurants in the locality. Then see if you can get these business' on side to retaining Airbnbs.

Other than that just understanding the issues those who want to ban Airbnbs have will guide your thinking.

Just one other question: If a local town or county tried this in the UK they would fail as they do not have the power to do so.  Do random towns and boroughs in the USA have the right to destroy people's livelihoods?

@Mike-And-Jane0Historically, given the sheer size (aka space) of the U.S., different communities differed widely in local laws and custom.

    You are correct, show up at any local assembly, armed with more knowledge on economic impact than its theoretical leaders and you can win any argument.
