Does airbnb remits all taxes on behalf of hosts [Utah]?

Hi everyone,

I'm a new host based in Utah and had assumed that Airbnb collects and remits all necessary taxes on our behalf. However, I recently received a letter stating that I need to file a quarterly tax return. Since Airbnb handles the tax collection, am I supposed to just enter "0" for total taxable charges when filing the return in TAP?

I'm feeling a bit confused, as we've only been hosting for about three months and this is the first time we’ve encountered this situation.

@Colin778 do you have Freedom of Information Los in your town/state? If yes then use these to find out what agreement the state/town has with Airbnb and this will tell you what you need to do. Alternatively ring your town/state and ask them.
