Alteration request for pricing

I wanted to give a discount to a guest, but after he sent the booking request, the "send offer" button disappeared. So, I use the alteration tool to send a price change. It says the request is pending and I will be notified, but has no mention of how long it will take. Any idea how long it takes and if the guest is informed? My guest arrives tomorrow. Thanks to the community.

My understanding is that the guest receives it immediately but you have to wait for the response.

It has been 3 days and it still shows as pending. I just tweeted AirBNBhelp.

@Mani-and-KP0  That means your guest never accept the alteration.  Did you talk to you guest about it and inform them they needed to accept?
