Hi,
I'm experiencing some kind of a bug in the system whereby my (already low) basic fees of £28 per night have been reduced by airbnb to £18 per night within a breakdown offered to enquiring guest. It displayed as '£18 x 28 nights' in the summary. After refreshing the screen it then displayed (and still does!) as £510 x 28 nights' and equals to £510 for the whole booking by the way, which is just incorrect maths!
I've notified the help centre, but wondering if anyone else also experiencing thsi bug too????
@Yehuda5 The reason why your nightly rate is reduced is because there is a 20% weekly discount and a 35% monthly discount.
When you set up the price, you may have accepted Airbnb suggested discounts for longer term booking. When 28 nights are booked, it is considered as a monthly booking and 35% discount will be applied.
Thanks, while this is partly helpful (and appreciated) I've replied below with queries.
There is no bug, it is your own settings. You offer a 35% monthly discount. Monthly discounts are applied to stays for 28 night or longer. So the calculation is perfect !

Hi, so firstly thanks for your input. As I see it 35% works out at £18.20 per night, not £18, do you understand the difference or am I missing something here?
Secondly, do you know why when the page refreshed the breakdown changes from '£18 x 28 nights = £525' to '£510 x 28 nights = £510' - this simply makes no sense to me. I have taken screen shots of this.
Thanks for your input. Am I missing something here?
In my book, £18 x 28 = £504 - (not £525) and £510 x 28 = £14,280! (not £510) - and it appears as if I'm charging £510 per night, so I have no idea where that has come from as my basic rate is £28 per night!
Thanks for your help 🙂
Hi, I've got a similar issue.
A guest booked my room for $3,832.88 HKD for 28 nights whereas my room is offered 355HKD per night and a discount of 40% for a month, i.e. $6,475 HKD (355 x 30days = 10,650 HKD).
Can somebody help me find why there is so much difference?
Plus, it's not nice for the guest to discover that the price is in reality double of what he is expected!!
Please HELP!
