Hi all, I'm still very new to airbnb and slightly confused by something. Until now, every time I received a booking, I was sent a request, which I then manually pre-approved. Today however, I've just received an instant booking confirmation via e-mail, for which I had no prior notice of, or option to decline. Does anybody know how this could have occured - a change in my settings perhaps?

Same here!!! I NEVER AGREED to this!!! I think airbnb is actually doing it to drum up activity which has been low here. It is fraudulent!!
Now when I turned off instant booking the next section Guest requirements indicates that I can only have guests that match standard Airbnb requirements. Neither proved ID, nor recommendations from other hosts are available, all these comes only with the instant booking. For me personally it feels like arm-twisting. I am really new to Airbnb and I just closed my calendar for future reservations. Probably if/when I have more experience (I mean years of hosting) I would take it easier but not now... I will just sit and wait.
