Hi everyone. I'm planning a trip to Korea for June of next year to attend a specific event. However, I'm not sure of the dates of this event yet. I know an approximate 2 weeks in which the event will take place, but Im not sure of the exact dates. If I book a stay for 2 weeks, can I later go back and change it to 1 week when I know the correct date? I should know the date some time in April, so that will give the host about 2 months to book that other week. Also, all the listings I'm looking at have a Moderate cancellation policy, if that helps. Is that an acceptable amount of time to change the reservation so the host can book that other week with someone else?
It depends on the host if the host is willing to accept such a change (shortening the reservation)
I would not rely on it and at least contact the host upfront about it.
@Kathleen529 You may read through Airbnb cancellation policy in the following link related to moderate cancellation policy

If you want to alter the dates and the host is reluctant to change for you. The only option is to cancel it and rebook. That is why you want to make sure that you are not charged based on the cancellation policy. As @Emiel1 mentioned, you can contact to the host before booking. If the host is willing to accommodate your request, you can proceed to book.
