Cancelation of booking

I was expecting a guest this evening ,he was booked for 2 days , He has just sent me a message via airbnb to say he cant make it and asking for an invoice for his job for monies paid . I have messaged him back saying i have not received any monies yet it is still with airbnb and he should contact them. he says he cant and that the money has been charged to his card .I have advised him to cancel so he will get something back as i have a flexible refund policy.is this all ok?

@Jean75  You're correct - everything the guest needs is through Airbnb.  At the time of booking, he should have received a confirmation via email that he can use as a receipt to submit to work.  He will need to either go into his Airbnb account online and cancel or he can give them a call to cancel.  The number will be on his booking confirmation.

@Jean75  He may not even bother canceling if his work is paying for it.  Win-win for you!

Hi Jean, your guest, as other replies mentioed, has a confirmation and invoice from abb. You have a flexible booking, meaing if he cancels within 24 hours, which it sounds like, you get paid the first  night in any case.

I am a host and wanting to cancel a booking. The guests have paid only one room for 6 people since I have set a policy that a room can only accommodate 2 people. The guests got the booking confirmed from instantly booking policy. Now, the guests agree to cancel the booking but they will need the fee paid to Airbnb.  Anyone can help?

When you cancel the Guest will be refunded in full.

 

PS I could not see you have a listing for one room.

When looking at your listing, private room, it has up to 8 guests allowed. You should check the listing and your settings! 
 
You can go through the resolution centre and send the guest the additional fee back, this gets deducted from you account.

I was at a wedding last Friday and Saturday and missed calls from my tenant, I then had a call from Air B n B to say that they were very angry etc etc, and it states that I CANCELLED the booking which I did not - Is there anything I can do about this ?

Hi David,

 

I had a booking aranged, then I went to the UK for a family wedding and left my phone in the room

for the day and night. So did not get the missed calls until the following morning when I got a call from

Air B N B asking why we had not responded to our guest.....I responded to her immediately and to the Air bnb email but they cancelled the booking and it says that I cancelled it which I did not.

 

Grrr, just for not having mobile contact for one day !!!
