Chicago Registration

Hello, Just want to see if anyone is in the same boat. I registered the AirBNB I host in my home 1.5 years ago when I started hosting in Chicago. I very quickly received a registration # in the mail. No problems. Since then, I have tried to register my home share a second time through AirBNB (the rules say renew annually) and have gotten no response. I've tried calling BACP and sent messages and made phone calls to AirBNB. On my listing my registration # it ominously says, "No Answer." My fear is that at some point the city will tell me I need to stop hosting abruptly, thus cutting off income I count on. Chicago does not do things in an organized way, so I just feel like this is hanging over my head, but all efforts to get ahead of it have been thwarted. If I should try harder and go down to city hall, I would be glad to hear that info or if I should just drop it and stop worrying, I'd love to hear that, too. Thanks for any help!!

What happened with your registration?  I am under the impression that the registration needs to be renewed once every two years.  I just went down to City Hall and met with someone in person.  I initially got no response when I wrote emails and left messages but now that I have a contact in City Hall life has been easier.  Someone also told me there is a special email address chicagoregistration@airbnb.com to get a faster response with regards to your city registration.
