Has anyone ever been able to contact Air BnB and received a response - I feel like I am just going round and round in circles chasing my tail. I posted two questions over the last few weeks about how to update my calendar and listing and have received no responses. Meanwhile, there seems to be a flood of hundreds of other questions on other issues and subject sconstantly being posted - most receiving none or few responsed - there really seem to be more questions than answers.
I have tried submitting my query directly to Air BnB but the pro-forma, but having written out my question, I can't send it due to what I assume is a fault on the page that won't allow me to press the 'submit' button.
As hosts we all seem to be asking questions of each other that Air BnB should rightfully answer - I am not normally a conspiracy theorist, but are we just being scammed into believing that we can answer each other's questions while Air BnB (and others like it), erode our autonomy, take no responsibiity, have no accountabilityand laughs all the way to the bank.
I hope that at least one person replies to say that they understand what I am talking about.
Yvonne
Keep in mind that resolution matters—take photos that are at least 1024 x 683px. When in doubt, a bigger photo is better.
We have also been unable to find out how to contact airbnb to resolve a hosting issue. As Laurie Anderson asked 'is there anybody out there?' or are we required to ask other hosts for their advice?? We are in Australia, have a lovely house for rent but had 2 posting predating our start set up with airbnb saying that the host cancelled without notice. We would like to have these adverse reviews removed. Has anybody any advice?
I agree. I can't communicate with them either. My messages are coming in Portuguese and I don't understand what is being said. I haven't been paid yet. I have had two nights of hosting so far. How long do you have to wait.
Can someone please help me; i'm new to this..
i've created a listing and when searching on it now i see that there are no available dates although my setting indicate that i have availability as of the 21st of August.
what must i do???
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to say 'thank you' the many people who responded to my request for help in contacting Air BnB and in updataing my calendar...your teips worked and I have been able to resolve those issues.
I am on a fixed income, and while I do appreciate and benefit from the opportunity presented by Air BnB to get a little extra income, I remain incredibly fustrated with their business model and practices that have become more and more restrictive and controlling for home-owners.
I believe that this pattern is set to continue towards an 'instant booking' future where homeowners have little or no control over who stays in their commodation, and Air BnB and other similar companies continue to mine the rich seam of gold that they have discovered in the private holiday rental market.
Best wishes
Yvonne
THANK YOU!!! There is no one to talk to!!! There is a "cancelation" on my calander and I did not cancel! But they won't let me remove it AND they changed my superhost status!!! is there no email? no number? no anyone? seriously!
Heather
Go to Help in the upper right corner, then scroll down to Conact Us, then choose Email - I was able to resolve a cancellation/superhost issue that way. There is also a Call option, but I have found that useless, as their English is terrible and they have no authority to change anything. Really, abnb could make this all a little easier by spending the money to get competent customer service reps.
Hello @Heather259,
Several people have been helpful enough to provide links to contact information in previous answers to the original question.
These answers are above your question in the sequence. You could check those out.
Steve.
yes i agree Airbnb used to be Host friendly now I feel like i chase myself from one computer screen to another searching for a simple question. They don't want to answer the phone and do customer service they say go to a website and find the answer your self. I have spent all day trying to figure out how to contract them i don't have that much time and considering quitting because they are not responsive.
