Damage Deposit & Sate lodging Tax

Hello -I am new to AirBnb and had to send a second payment request to add in Damage Deposit ($500) & State Lodging Tax ($84). I went to refund the Damage Deposit and it appears this money was never placed into my aoccunt to begin with. Please advise how to do this for future guests and how do I now collect my $84 in State Taxes, if this money was not deposited to me.  My other rental site has everyhting listed out to collect any additional fees, which simplifies the payment process tremendously!
