Filing a Host Complaint

How Can I file a complaint against a host?

I had a horrible encounter with a harrasing host based on us having to cancel 6 days prior, we tried every form to contact him on the Monday prior to our Saturday trip, no response to airbnb messages, calls, or texts. Finally Thursday, we get a response, and it was extremley rude and harassing. Completely undertand the cancellation policies yet we tried to cancel as soon as we found out we were unable to attend the trip.

@Ashlee19

You can report the host to Airbnb bu using the "flag" link on the profile. Same for harrasing messages:  use the "flag" link in it. Before cancelling you could have contacted Airbnb and explain situation, maybe they could have cancelled the reservation with full refund (or relocate you)

Still worth a try, if the rude and harrassing communication is in the Airbnb message system:

Best regards,

Thank you so much, I did call them prior, most of the messages harrassing were via text, trying to figure  out how to get those to Airbnb. Thank you again!

What was the cancelation policy of this listing, @Ashlee19?

Hi! It was moderate, I reached out just to see if he would consider a full refund as we found out information about our pet sitter less than 12 hours following the full refund window, yet didn't hear back from him till 4 days after communciation attempts. I fully respect the cancellation policy but thought I would try. Thank you for your time and consideration in reading my post!
