Help, AIRBNB won't release payment from guests.

Hello Everyone,

 

I have become a host for the very first time and somehow I still didn't get pay from airbnb yet.

My first guests arrived on the 25th August and Depart on the 30th August. I understand that it takes 24 hours for Airbnb to release payment from guests after their check in time. However, until today 3rdSeptember, I checked on Transaction History, that host reservation is still listed as "Reservation" not "Payout". It's been 7 days now, why don't airbnb release the "Payout" already. And please tell me if I can contact airbnb by phone as well.

  • Bank transfer or international wire: 3–7 business days

And it's a holiday weekend here in the US so the banks are closed on Monday.  So 7 business days from 24 hours after the guests checked in would be Tuesday, September 6.  

Follow the links in the article above and you will see when your transaction should arrive.

I am also currently awaiting payment from AirBnB for a guest that has already left. There seems to be a problem with my account or payment details. But this has always been my default method of payment so cannot understand why now there is suddenly a problem. I hope they sort it out soon, as bank security may have tightened since cyber fraud. I also cannot find a number to contact anyone, whereas before there WAS a number. This is quite frustrating as the human personal touch to such a great service is so important! Good to know that there is a bank holiday tho - which may be why it is taking a while. Hopefully will be resolved next week. Jenny

Have you been waiting long for your payment? You can check the status of the payment in your 'Transaction History' on your Airbnb account.
