How do you actually talk to Airbnb?

It seems they have gone to a huge amount of effort to ensure they they do not have to interface with customers.

I am a host with a problem and could really do with speaking to someone at Airbnb about it.  Can anyone suggest a way to speak to a human?

Hello @Owain0,

I am sorry you felt this was a wild goose chase, honestly that wasn't my intention. Did you manage to take a look at this Contact Airbnb: A Community Help Guide? This contains several different ways to reach the team, including a list of contact numbers.

I really hope you get this sorted. Please do keep us updated if you can. 🙂

Thanks,

Lizzie

@Owain0 "What is the phone number or email address that I can contact Airbnb from in the UK". In my last post I gave you a link (the word here underlined) to the document with the full list of numbers - including the UK number - so I'm surprised you didn't click on it.

@Lizzie I have asked this before but why can't you put a link to the Guide with all the methods and numbers in the acres of white space down the right hand side of the community center. It would save the multiple times a day that we have to answer the "how do I contact..." question which inevitably gets us very frustrated. I know that Airbnb don't like people talking to them - at least the evidence points to this - but you could help a bit by adding a prominent link on the right hand side.

I agree that AirBnb should be more transparent about contacting them, anybody reasonably savy can find the contact details easily enough.

Seems to be that there is a strong correlation between those who spend little time working out how AirBnB operates, reading all the information on the site, and those who can not find the contact details. I think some people are just not suited to operating an internet based booking system.

My guess is that due to the size of AirBnB, somebody is not looking properly at the big picture situation.

Too many people calling us, make it hard to contact us.

Too many cancellations, impose a fine.

Guests complaining about cancellations, charge hosts more and let guests cancel free.

Racism, ignore that many people do not accept booking for a wide variety of issues, seems that half of requests are refused, make it difficult to impossible to refuse or cancel.

And on and on and on.

Hello @Victoria57,

Thanks so much again for this. Due to the present version of the design struction here the CC, it isn't possible to add any links or details to the side bar, therefore this does mean it would be a slight design change. I did pass your suggestion and feedback at the time around to the rest of my team and I will update them again on this point. The tech team are working on V3 of the CC as we speak.

I hope this provides you with more information around this.

Speak to you soon.

Thanks,

Lizzie 🙂

Hello,

We have a guest that has booked our two night minimum but she only wants one night. We agreed to let her stay the one night with a $30 cleaning fee. We changed the minimum night stay on the site and increased the rate by $30 to reflect the cleaning. She can't or we can't seem to go back in and just book that one night.

Do I just cancel her request and start over? Will this have any reflection on my rating or anything negative if I do this, or is there a better way??

I have a problem and cannot be connected to a person at Airbnb. I have a host that wants to return my money but she cannot due t a cancellation. She said a AirBNB manager is supposed to call her. I am going out of town asap and I need the money returned. Help!!! I have been on hold for 32 minutes.

does anyone have an email address or phone number to communicate with someone at airbnb customer service. They seem to neglect this
