I have just started hosting with Airbnb and live in Maine. On their website it says they collect h

I have just started hosting with Airbnb and live in Maine.  On their website it says they collect the taxes....is there anything i have to do?

Your listings booking form showes Airbnb is charging taxes to guests:  "General Sales and Use Tax (Maine)"

I did read that they collect 9% but i dont see ot listed anywhere.....

@Karen1729 @Emiel1 is correct.  My listings are in Maine and Airbnb collects Maine State occupancy taxes on hosts' behalf.

So i don't have to worry about colkecting or paying tax.
