I set my listings to Instant Book but they are still showing up as non-instant book. I thought they were supposed to update after an hour? It's been more like 24 hours.
I show 2 of your 3 listings have Instant Book activated. The one that does not have IB is the "Guestroom."
My settings were also changed to instant book (for guests meeting requirement) but the lighting symbol still does not appear for my booking:

I made this change over a month ago. Is this corect, i.e., does one have to allow instant booking for anyone to obtain the symbol in one's listing?

It depends who is searching - when I take a look the IB is on. In other searches it may not show if you have extra requirements activated like "government id" and "reviews from other hosts". And if you search while logged in, you must meet your own requirements or it will not show as a listing you can instant book.
Okay thanks for the info. Some of the other listings show up as "insant book" for me, so I suppose those are ones that do not have any IB requirements.

So if I have "Government Id' checked and I log out then search for my place not being logged in as anyone it wont show?

Same problem well over a year later - that's Airbnb support for you as a "valued" host! Lots of totally frustrated hosts who responded to Airbnb "suggestion" to add a local guide book, but does Airbnb care or respond to the fact that it DOES NOT WORK - nope! Just the usual "we understand and we are working on it" response - NOT good enough!
@Estelle35 are you having a problem with activating Instant Book, or with setting up a local guide book?
(Hosts have reported issues with both.)
I'm not sure which you are asking about, or even if you are asking for help or just letting off steam...
