I have a five day cancellation policy. The guests were to check in today but called to say they were going to just keep driving. He mentioned getting his mi eye back but I skipped over the subject. How do I prevent a review being given...and if they make a bad one?
@Angela908 he should be allowed to review his interactions with you, but not the property.
If he does leave a review of the property (without having seen it), you can ask to have it removed.
But he does have the right to review how communications with you went.
HI Angela
If the guest do not cancel, you will also have the oportunity to review them.
So make sure you add the comment:
"Even if guest XXX did not stay in the property, communication was prompt and plesant and he told me in advance of his plans" or something like that.
So at least is is ther, for day 1, that he never checked in, if you have to dispute anything on airbnb
Good luck
Hi @Angela908 🙂
You could tell the guest that airbnb has the money (you are not payed straight ahead when he books) and that they have to cancel the reservation. Then they will get the money back according to the cancellation policy you have. Tell them that you really can't do anything.
That way the guests are less likely to see you as the boogie man 🙂
