I declined a date to host a guest and now it is blocked and I would like to re open it and allow them to say because the situation on my end changed and I am able to host them. How do I re open/approve her dates?! I’ve tried to contact Air B & B with NO reply’s from them. So far their customer
srvuce has not been up to par.
You were 'punished' because you turned the booking down. It will be tricky to open it up again, even if for the original guest that you biffed. Airbnb CS would be my go-to in this situation. Call them.
I called Airbnb recently to explain that I accidentaly did the cancelling on a booking as opposed to the guest. Which I have since learned is an extreme no no. I was on hold for a while but once I spoke with someone I just nicely and patiently explained the situation. They put me on hold, reviewed the message thread with that guest they were able to correct the mistake with in minutes and my calendar was back open on those dates. You can find the phone number by searching here in the forums. Good luck!

Hi @Lesa6
DECLINING a booking and CANCELING a booking are 2 VERY different things.
You do not get penalized for declining a booking, but if you cancel, yes, the dates are blocked, you do not become superhost for 1 year, you may pay a fee.
You should contact airbnb to try to explain, no guarantee that they will unblock the dates.
