Hey all,
I have used airbnb before, many times, but I am at a loss this time...
It is saying that it can't "authorise my payment"... but I booked a different lot of accommodation for a different trip an hour ago and it went through perfectly. I am using the same account to pay for the trip I am currebtly trying to book, but now it is saying that it can't do it.
What are the likely issues??
I've tried both paypal and my debit card, and it won't work. Paypal comes up with the "not authorised" warning , and it won't even get the the "send request" stage if I put in my card. When I click the "pay in full" option, it just spins and spins until I reload the page - and then I have to put in all the information again. I have been trying for an hour to do this!! What is wrong with it??

have you tried cleaning up your browser history or opening airbnb in a new browser ?
Yeah, I closed all the pages, and totally started again. Still not doing anything.
I think you will need to call Airbnb on this one. Sounds like a technical glitch.
Maybe it is a tech issue... just tried on a different computer, and still playing up.
This has happenned to me before but as a host, the guest's booking wouldn't go through whichever way they tried, it turned out it had to do with their credit limit as it was above what they had authorised so all it took was a call to the bank to lift it. Maybe it is something similar in your case.
Thanks. I will keep that in mind. I don't think that is the case for this one though as our transfer limit is 1,000 and the booking is only 400. So that's is all okay.
I am about to try again after leaving it for a few days. So I'll see what happens.
