Hi all,
I have a quick question for the community. I have booked this morning (UK time) after being quoted £1940 for our stay, this price included cleaning fee, service fee & occupancy taxes & fees. When I filled in the form I entered the correct dates & number of guests. After I paid I received an email stating there was only one guest, I contacted the host & explained there was 3 guests. I then received an email charging a further £180 for adding two extra guests but I had put 3 guests when I searched for a property. The worst part is that the price has now increased to over £2350, almost £400 increase from original price quoted. Has anybody else experienced this in the past?
Thankyou
Searching for 3 guests does not mean automatically booking for three guest.
Dit you fill in the amount of guest in the booking form ? If yes, contact Airbnb, because then it is a glitch in the system:

BTW the fee for additional guest must be in the booking form. Check the listing for this, otherwise the host is in error by charging you afterwards extra money.
best regards,
Emiel
This has happened to me too. You just need to make sure that you include the correct number of people when you come to hit 'book', as it'll often go to one as a default.
PS. Loving the hi-vis profile pic 😉
Potential guest noticed a price increase in "service fee" overnight of 2 percent. (May 8 and May 9) If she made an inquiry yesterday , does this give her price protection?
