Pricing

Pricing

A fellow host helped me by listing my rooms seperately but I have now realised that my previous pricing of £30 per person has now translated to £30 for the whole room!!! I have accepted a booking for two people before realising that. I have now changed my base price to £60 but want to go back to a per person charge to ensure the single traveller is not penalisedand I can`t edit it.

It is great to have help setting up a listing, @Angie102, but at some point you need to understand how this platform works 😛 That happened to me when I got started. I have viewed your listings and I am a bit confused about what you want to do.  Your older listing, with wonderful positive reviews, appears to be a single listing that can accommodate 1-5 guests in the same party and you have a price for extra guests.

This new listing bedroom pictures appear to be of the same listing.  Perhaps you have similar bedding and I am mistaken.  Anyway if this is a different cottage, you can add an extra guest charge by going to manage listing, pricing, edit additional charges for the per extra guest.

Hope this is what you need but if I am off mark, let me know.  When you want to respond to a particular host on this forum, hit @ and then select the picture of the host you want to address and that host will get notified of your post.

Thanks so much but it is clear that I don`t understand how it works!! I will need to try and resolve otherwise I shall be worse off.

What exactly do you want to accomplish, @Angie102.  We might be able to talk you through it.  Do you want to list each individual room separately?  If so, do you want to be able to rent several rooms to the same group as well?  This can be done.  Just let us know what you want to accomplish.

Since I became a host in July last year I  charged per person. I was advised that if just one person was staying then the system couldn`t let any other booking. I was advised to list the bedrooms seperately to avoid that. I had a lovely host staying with me  and she kindly listed the rooms seperately. The big problem is that I want to charge per person not per room so as not to penalise the single traveller.

I accepted a booking before realising that two people were going to stay for the price of one person! Hence me seeking help as I clearly cannot afford to do that. Many thanks for any help you can give me.

At this stage I would rather go back to as I was before if possible.
