If a guest books a shared room in the apartment and there will be other guests in the other room am I supposed to inform them about how many, sex, etc.?
As long as it's clear there may be other guests in another room then that's all you need to make them aware of. It's all about no unexpected surprises
Thank you so much. I'd like to share one story. 2 girls booked a shared room in my apartment which has 2 bedrooms. I told them there was going to be a girl in the other room. One or two days after the new guests arrived some friends of the girl who was already there came to visit and asked if they could share the room with her and pay me for the nights. Since I have 3 beds in this other room I agreed and they slept there for a week or so. Now the 2 girls are complaining because there were many people in the house and they want $250.00 because of some "calculations" they made. I was told that there was never a problem about sharing the bathroom or the kitchen because they would leave early in the morning and only came back late at night. These 2 girls divided the price of the entire house for the number of people who stayed there and now they told airbnb that they think they are entitled to a refund. I was willing to give them a 5% discount but when they told me that they wanted 250 back I assumed that they now want to take advantage of the situation. My son let them use his board which would cost 25.00 per day if they had to rent one and we never thought about charging them. After 5 days that they arrived I texted them asking if they needed anything and they replied that everything was good and they were enjoying their stay there. What should I do? Let airbnb decide? I'm new to this and last thing I wanted was a bad review but I think it's unfair because they paid 900.00 and want 250.00 back??? Can airbnb discount the ammount for future bookings and refund them?
