Property type

We have been prompted by Airbnb to change our property type.  It is asking us if we are a licenced business, and if we are, to input the details of this.

We have just one room that we let out, which we market as a Bed and Breakfast elsewhere, as well as through Airbnb as a self-catering apartment.

We don't have a business licence number (the business is run by us as a 'sole trader' in the uk).

Should we change the property type to say we aren't a business?

thanks for any thoughts.

Your listing is beautiful!  I think private room in a bed and breakfast is correct if it meets your location definition as a bed and breakfast.  If it does and there is no business license required and you do not pay occupancy tax, then what you are stating is correct.  However, in many places, municipalities have begun to regulate and tax. Air BNB want proof that your business is in compliance.

You mention a catering business and offer to provide additional dining for an additional fee.  Again, that is a business and probably regulated in some way.  It might be worth your time to investigate.
