I have a request from a guest and her significant other from Sweden for a week. She’s new profile with Airbnb so no ratings. Need feedback on protocol.
I receive requests like that all the time (from first time users, no reviews, no profile pic, etc). You can always change your settings to require guests have certain information when they book (or else they can't book).
I live on the property I rent so I am a bit less cautious as to who books with me. But you can always try asking some questions (Reason for stay, etc) and feel it out and go from there!
I agree with Kaylee - ask a few friendly questions couched in" how best to serve you" terms- folks from other countries sometimes don't realize the size of our states so making sure that your listing is a reasonable distance from what ever draws her to your area is a reasonable thing to do. (I've had people think our place is good for a day trip to Yosemite, it's not!) At least, as an international traveler she's not going to show up with a couple of doggies, right? Best of luck, Sally
