Sometimes I get two or three requests all within minutes from each other, then days of nothing!

Hoping you experienced Airbnb hosts can help us. 

We're relatively new, just started in November. 

I can't figure out what is happening. 

Sometimes we receive a flurry of requests, and then days of nothing. Does Airbnb circulate who is going to be more visible, and then once you get a few request they bump you back to the bottom again? 

I tried Instant Book, to see if that would make a difference. Two days later I got a couple bookings, and now it's been another 4 days of nothing. 

Advice please!

The algorithms Airbnb uses are a mystery to most.  From what I understand, the more views, requests, reservations, etc. your listing gets, the higher it seems to move up the rankings, thus you continue to get more attention.

The same thing is happening to me.  I use to be booked solid all year and the moment they released the instant book preference in the search results things changed.  It really seems they are making too many changes at one time without understanding what bugs are being released within their code and how the changes are impacting everyone.  Sad.
