Trouble defining check-in time with guest

Hi to all,

I've been hosting for a while and it's the first time this is happening. I have a guest checking in tomorrow and I've been trying to get some check-in time from her since the 20th, almost 10 days ago. After some insistence, and after I've told her that I had to work that night, she eventually told me it would be late afternoon or evening. Right now, I need to know the exact time or some realistic window to check-in as I need to know if I have to find someone to check her in. I've insisted with her again today, but I'm not sure I'll get an answer on time, so my question is: how should I handle it? She is already in the region with her family so I suppose she just doesn't want to compromise on a check-in hour until the day, depending on how her day goes.

I've been thinking to tell her that, due to the impossibility of arranging a check in time, I'd have to limit check-in time until 20:00 (8pm) which is when I leave to work. But since I live here too, I don't want to have a disgruntled guest. Has anyone ever had this situation and how did you handle it? Help would be greatly apreciated. Oh, I have check-in time stated as flexible in my listing.

By putting Flexible you have to be Flexible... Best to put down those times you know you can be available.
