What does it mean when airbnb verifies a government ID?  

I would expect it means that a persons account name and profile photo match the name and photo on their Government ID that they uploaded to verify. Anyone know for sure exactly what the process is for airbnb to truly verify someone's identity?

@Jeanne249  It is a very good question! We hosts all trust what Airbnb does. However, Airbnb is not trustworthy in many aspects, screening process, review system, damage claim etc.

I hope that Airbnb could explain how their screening process works to provide hosts with safety and security.

So, what does AirB&B need to see to have a guest - VERIFIED...?

Seems like that's part of why we pay them a service fee.
