How do I block off days in my calendar without doing it one day at a time - have tried shift/control/command
Can I update my calendar for a whole month at a time?
I'm having the same problem. There are only two posts on this topic and they are both recent so I imagine this is a new glitch.
I cant do it either - has anyone actually had any helpful response?
By now you've probably figured this out, but if not: If you're on a computer, not a phone, click and release on any day in the range you want to block. On the left/right sides of that day you should now see a small round "button" with three small vertical lines. Drag either or both sides to cover the range of dates you want to block, make available, or set to a new price. If you're using the iPhone app, it works differently, and is semi-broken. (For example, you can only block, not unblock.) Instead of click-and-drag, just touch each date in your range with your finger. As you touch each date, it'll turn into a dark circle, and each previously touched date will remain dark. When ytou've got all the days you want selected, click the "Block" button at the bottom, or click the price field to reset the prices.
Thank you, I will try this. I had the same question.
Related, I am 99% sure I blocked all dates for the next year because I am having a baby, possibly moving, lots of stuff up in the air. However, I have gotten 3 reservations requests in the last several weeks, which I have had to decline. People think my listing is available, but I think it is not. Somewhere there is a glitch! Does anyone have any ideas about what might be happening? Is there some way I am inadvertently "undoing" my blocked dates after I think I block them? Any other ideas? Thanks!
Erin
@Erin29, People will make "pre-approval" inquiries (which differ from booking requests) for blocked dates way off in the future. Essentially, even though they see blocked dates, they're asking "Might date MM/DD be available?" That might be what you're experiencing. Also, you can, at any time, look ahead in your calendar to confirm that dates you've blocked are still blocked.
@Erin29 Lastly, you should "Snooze" your listing during off-time related to the baby. Once you do that, your listing will temporarily disappear for the duration that you specify. Search for Snooze in AirBnB's help system.
Hi, I notice there is an inconsisitency between how the calendars appears when view through the website compared to viewing the calendar via the ap, for instance next week I have a guest arriving on the Sat 13 to Wed 17 yet the ap calendar has crossed off the 2 days before ie 11 & 12. I realise this is because I have stated a min stay of 3 nights but to a guest viewing the calendar via the app they would assume these dates are blocked when in actual fact they could be staying for the 3 nights 10, 11, &12. I hope an Airbnb technical person picks up this obversation and can effortlessly change the way the ap verson is viewed. Many thanks Emma
@Emma77 I'm guessing you figured this out because the dates don't appear to be blocked. And I'm also guessing that the reason they were blocked hda to do with your setting for number of days "off" between bookings. A lot of people forget about those settings, or don't really understand the effect.
Also, the next time you have a technical problem, it's best to report it to AirBnB, not to these host forums. If you're just puzzled or looking for help with something, the host forums are good, but if you need AirBnB's intervention, go straight to them They don't monitor these forums for users with technical issues.
