i have a booking that says they made a booking by mistake and is asking for a refund

as I understand it, i only get paid when the arrive so am not in a position to refund as I have not got the customers money, air bnb have

if i accept the refund, will i be penalised if this is a scam and their payment does not process?

I'd do nothing, as they said themselves they made the mistake, its up to them to resolve it with Airbnb.
