host requesting cc info

Good morning, 

I have a reservation at Myrtle Beach Vacation Station, #**. They are requesting credit card information outside of Airbnb and my husband is hesitant to give that info because we've never had to do that in all of our airbnb reservations. Myrtle Beach Vacation Station said that this is in case of damage done. Can you confirm that this is a trusted company and that they are in compliance?

I have to agree with Jeff here Suz. The host you're going to stay with should have a security deposit set up as explained here https://www.airbnb.co.uk/help/article/352/what-happens-if-a-host-makes-a-claim-on-my-security-deposi....
