I am a new host and accepted my 1st reservation this morning. My listing gives the price per night of $60 plus a $10 cleaning fee, but customer was charged $194.61. Which is way more than my price. It would be $140. Guest asked same question, how come they are being charged larger amount when my listing is less.

Can somebody explain this for me

Thanks Sylvia

@Sylvia400

I can't reproduce a booking adding up to $194,  it always adds up to $150 as below. Has the guest given you a breakdown of the charges, they might just be trying it on to get a discount.

ps you are open for xmas bookings at $60

The reservation online added up to $164.90 CAD but she was charged 194.60 when she confirmed reservation

@Sylvia400 , that looks like a transcription error, and it is humans who make those. Can you get her to send you a screenshot of what she is seeing so you can check?

If not, she may have to call customer service. All things to do with payment are between the guest and Airbnb.

Are there two people coming, @Sylvia400 ? You do have an extra charge in place for the second person.

Dozy me, I need a cup of tea. @Lawrene0 is correct

@Jeff158  Maybe something stronger than tea- a double espresso, perhaps? 🙂
