problem

my 26 yr old daughter has booked into an Air BnB property

the host has stated she will have to move rooms after  2 days of a 5 day stay

He has also behaved very inappropriately  asking if she wants to go for a drink

he also stated he would have to stay in the property (not as listed) and he sometimes shares the enclosed studio part of the property with guests

My daughter is moving to another property after one night as this is all v inappropriate

How does she get a refund and report this inappropriate  behaviour

@Donald92

Your daughter needs to ring the phone number on her booking confirmation and airbnb will move the booking to another property, if ones available.

she organised another Aur BnB

Host has cancelled remainder of stay so should be reimbursed but still had inconvenience and unsettling experience which i would hope Air BnB would investigate and take necessary  action

As a host yourself @Donald92  you will know this already, but your daughter is luckily the host voluntarily cancelled her booking or she may not have got her money back, if she found another Airbnb booking, without having raised issues with the host and Airbnb first.

You'll also know your daughter can leave an honest review, flag the hosts profile and give Airbnb a call to let them know about the host saying they would stay (presuming it is not a shared space) and any inappropriate behaviour.

Having said that it is not unusual for a host to share a tea or glass of wine with a guest - it all depends on the context.

I do not think it is appropriate  for host to ask a guest to go to a bar for a drink

If anyone esp a young woman feels uncomfortable because a mans behaviour there is almost always a good reason for it

This man suggested he sometimes shares  bedroom with guests

This is  clearly inappropriate behaviour which will ofcourse be reported to A nB

I never suggested it was appropriate for a host to ask a guest to go to a bar for a drink @Donald92 .  (although as a host I have been invited by my guests to go for a drink with them)

I said that it is not uncommon for a host to offer guests refreshment in terms of a cup of tea of glass of wine.

I never implied that it was not a woman't right to choose who she spends time with.

Nor did you make it clear that the male host said he sometimes shares bedrooms with his guests. You said your daughter said that the host sometimes shares the studio space with guests (no mention of bedrooms).
