2019 and ready to go!!!!

Hello fellow hosts, it's 2019  and we receive our first guests of the year next weekend. Both my wife Suzanne and I are positive about the year, we have been encouraged by the rule changes in Spain and the amount of bookings in UK.  Please can we all adopt a positive attitude for this year, BNB is a pain in the arse but it provides access to an international market for a relatively low price!!!! I realise that there are hosts out there who have been shafted by this company and I emphasise but lets not forget it is a booking platform not a home from home!!!!! To all of the hosts who have taken the time and trouble to reply to my boring posts in 2018 I thank you, and wish you well for 2019!!!!! BRING ON 2019!!!!!!!!

let’s try to remember exactly that.

Airbnb is only a booking platform and for now personally it works great for me as well.

But l choose to not host in our family home.

Personally l don’t have the courage to do that, but l do feel for all the other hosts when they’re 

pointing out very important safety issues. And Airbnb just couldn’t care less. Sometimes l can’t help myself to think does it have to come down to a horrific crime to one of the hosts to make Airbnb adjust their policies.

Our studio is independent from our house, so l don’t need to be that strict about some of the issues. And we are always close by so much so l believe that the guest knows pretty much that they have eyes on them and all the neighbors as well 😄

I’m maybe little guilty of having our Olga from Ukraine hosting style after all, l’m blaming my Balkan mother for that 😄

Airbnb is a jumped up classifieds listing portal, not a fairy godmother (to coin a phrase from our Robin).

Plus, they're about to get taxed up the *** by the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department, so how about we all cut them some slack 🙂
