Hosting Experience and Aribnb Reward

Hosting Experience and Aribnb Reward

Hi all, I have been hosting for nearly one and half year and it is so far so good. There have been some challenging moments with some difficult guests but in general, it was good. I have also been a super host for last four quarters. I have not received the travel credit from Airbnb. So, I want to know if I have to be a super host for 4 quarter in a year, like all 4 quarters of 2017? I have been super host for the last quarter of 2016 and 3 quarters of 2017.

About my experience, Airbnb should really install a system to force the guests to communicate their arrival times. Also, it is very common for the guests to not to read all details of a listing. So, it would also be helpful to create a small form where the guests would see the key details of the listing and sign it electronically that would be send to the guests as proof to show to the guests that "you have read the details".

Any, happy hosting to all.

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi Sabrina, I think a mechanism that might encourage guests more strongly to read all the details of a listing is a great idea. It could be an optional tool for hosts to include--those who don't feel the need could just not use it. There would always be folks who still don't read, but it might help increase the number of people who pay more attention. I am single female listing space in the place I reside. Some things are going to be a bigger deal and not "small stuff" to us that may not matter as much to hosts with different situations. I also have been pretty successful in the 5 months I have been hosting. I am a Super host with all 5 stars. I think your questions show there's room for  improvement in any platform, especially when there's such diversity in the reasons and ways we host.

I'm really put off by the condescending judgment bordering on ridicule I read in this thread and in the forum more widely. Is there no place people can seek and share information without the requisite snarkiness that seems to be taking over everything in society? So I just want to thank you for your sincere suggestions and questions before leaving this group. Best of luck to you.

@Cathye0@Sabrina108, this is such a problem and it comes up over and over - people just don't read!  Some people in other threads have mentioned that they "hide" a keyword in their description and the potential guests have to find it and reply with it. No hidden word, no booking!  Might work for you....
