How are your views?

Happy festive season everyone! I have been a host for more than a year and recently I have noticed that our listing views per day have dropped down a lot. I have a Villa in Moordrecht, near Rotterdam and another in North Bali. In September we had 20-30 vies per day and now in December we have 2-10 views per day for Netherlands and in Bali we had 10-30 views per day in November and now in December we have maximum 10. Does someone else encounter the same problem? Is this something seasonal? Did you see a drop in views/performance? What results are you getting - views, inquiries and bookings for this period (december) in the area? What are you doing to counter the low views? Thank you Everyone!

Page-views may vary due to loads of reasons.

Indeed, it could be due to the season. But it can also be due to (just a few reasons):

• A rise in local competition
• Lots of new listings in the neighborhood
• Fluctuation in demand
• Rise of Airbnb Plus listings in Bali
• Your price
• The number of your reviews in comparison to the competition
• Etc.

We have been hosting 3 years now, and each year we have had more page-views than the year before.

But the number of nights booked per year is about the same 😞

So page-views are nice, but they don’t pay the bill.

It only gives you some re-assurance, your listing is being looked at. You won’t know, whether these are prospective guests though (as it can also be the competition or just curious people).
