Messy guest

I am new to airbnb.  First 2 were a dream. Just had my 3rd guest show up.  They are booked for 7 days. They arrived at 1130pm with 9 suitcases ad 3 coolers full of food.  Even though my kitchen is listed as "not a common area" I agreed to clean off 2 shelves in my fridge and 1 cabinet for all their food.  They were up until 3am unloading and in my kitchen.  I woke to a nightmare.  My kitchen cabinets are full of their blenders and juicers.  The empty coolers and boxes are all over my kitchen and dining room.  Just thrown about.  My sink is full of their dirty dishes.  UNREAL!!  I do not ever leave dirty dishes in my sink.  What do I do?  I want to scream and kick them out and never do this again but I wont.  Any advice on what I should do????

Seems like a pretty simple solution - talk to your guest!  Let them know your expectations for keeping the kitchen and other common areas clean.  If they continue to not comply, you can call Airbnb, who will assist in finding them other accommodations.

Message Airbnb that they broke the house rules and you want to cancel the reservation. Hope it all works out

@Jean110   I would speak to them and call Airbnb  But, I noticed you do say "Kitchen is available, if needed." You might want to flesh that out to say for what and the rules of how they can use it and when or remove it and allow usage on a case by case basis only.  Unfortunately you were generous (never thought I would say that generosity was unfortunate!)  BUT the problem is some people just take complete advantage of any generosity and push it way beyond common understanding and common decency.  Not saying one can't be generous but be very careful and set clear limits as to where it ends. Good luck!

That's the beginning, you're trying to find a balance.

I guess life will be easier when your listing and comments set up expectations based on your experience as a host.
