Pending notification bubble but no new notification

So on both my desktop site and the app, I have a little notification (the number 1 in a red circle), which in the past meant I needed to look at a message or reservation. However, it's been on for a few weeks now but there is no new message or reservation or review request to be found. Absolutely nothing new, just the notification. 

I restarted my phone, even re-downloaded the app, cleared and reset my notification settings (they're set only to "Notify me when someone makes or changes a reservation" or "Notify me when someone messages"); the little red circle is still there.

Any ideas what else I should check?

My husband and I are having the same issue on both of our phones. We called AirBnB and they said they were having issues with their app.

Same I rang they said trouble with app 

but I have number 9 on desktop near App for over a month with no messages

How did you call anyone at Airbnb?  

Same problem here. And now I do not receive the notification sound either. Makes it hard to host.

 

I've been wondering the same thing.  I have "5" in my little bubble and it's driving me crazy!  Hopefully somebody out there knows the answer.

OK... Me too... Just thought I was not opening something and that is why it remained.

Same here! And it's driving me crazy too. I'm on the verge of deleting the app just to get rid of the bubble though I need to use it soon.

Omg! I thought it was my phone! It's driving me crazy! (OCD here).
What's worse, I constantly have to open to app to see if there's something new coz the notification update has some problems too. Grrrrr. Hope they fix it soon. I updated the app today (sept 14th) and it didn't get fixed apparently.

I think it's counting active inquiries. Where you have special offers out or have not declined.
