Hello,

I called airbnb today to ask about how individual ratings work for cleanliness , location, accuarcy , value etc..etc..

He could not answer my question which was the following :

On my public listing I have 4.5 stars for Cleanliness and and when I look at my rating stats for cleanliness I have 57% five stars and 43% 4 stars (based on 7 reviews : 4 at 5 stars and 3 at 4 stars). Also, the last two ratings I received for cleanliness are 5 stars

So when will my rating for cleanliness on my public listing go back up to a FULL 5 stars ????

Can you tell me how this is calculated? Is it to do with % or your most recent reviews ??

Hope I've got this right -

4 x 5 = 20

3 x 4 = 12

20 + 12 = 32

32 / 7 = 4.57

Quick explanation is, the number of stars divided by the number of reviews equals your star rating. So, you'll need to get your average over 4.9, I presume, so it rounds up to 5.
