Thankful for the Community

As a new host that is just over a month old, I want to thank the Community for all of their contributions.  The advice offered has been invaluable!  I'm also thankful to Airbnb for creating this platform and an opportunity for my house to pay its own mortgage!  I can't remember the names of all of the folks that have given great advice, but I do want to recognize @Momi0 for all of her contributions and her great HOUSE RULES!  There is also a man who gave great advice on requesting guests reviews. He's got great wording explainning to guests that he is running a small business that supports his family and that good reviews are very important.  It also requests that they give negative feedback directly.  I'd be greatful if someone could connect me with that posting.  It's very well done.  As I learn more I'll contribute.  Until then, let me just say thank you!  You know who you are!

@Laura976  I am pleased that you have found support and help here in the host forum.  Learning to navigate the CC is helpful as well.  Go to your CC profile while you hover over your picture.  You should see "latest post" and be able to see all your posts which will get you to anyone who also posted on the same discussion thread.  Make sense?  Good luck!!

@Linda--Frédéric-and-Kids0 Thank you!  That helps.  @Momi was kind enough to teach me how to send a private message to a another host on the forum by hovering over their picture and choosing send them a message.  I was using the "contact host" feature on her listing.  Appreciate the help and the time you've spent to be a level 10!

Hey, @Laura976, you wanted @Linda108 with that and not the Linda you got. When you hit @, the names of the people in the post come up first and those are the ones you usually need. Click the one you want fairly quickly. For some reason, if you linger, you get people who will be confused by the tag. Linda and Frédéric (and those children) are probably puzzled right now as to what's up. 

And, yes, searching in the Community Centre is not always easy, but you should be able to find the posts you want by entering whatever unique wording you remember into the search bar.

@Laura976  I am BLOWN AWAY by your kind and very generous message sent to my listing and how hard you tried to get a hold of me.  HAHA.....still can't believe you also sent me a gift!  One I would love love to take you up on. One day.  I may ever bring my favorite wine glass that my daughter made for me for mothers day that somehow just makes every wine taste that much better.

Just when I thought I couldn't be loved more, supported more and surprised more by another host, you come along and made me SMILE HUGE this weekend with all of your fun, awesome messages.  Thank you for sending them. And thanks for this post. 

I hope you were able to find the guy you were looking for, I sent you a private message (now that you know how to use that)...LOL...and was curious was I right, that it was RON?  I will look it up later tonight if you havent' yet..but the best thing to do is definitely navigate in your CC profile, and or use the search words to find his post. If not, I am sure we can ask @Lizzie0 our Community Manager extraordinaire to help us 🙂

oh yeah, the answer to your question about NZ, Yes, I definitely fell in love with the Sauvignon blanc wines.....and guess who is getting a beautifullly bottled NZ Sauvignon wine brought to her home by the next set of Kiwis's checking in tomorrow?  LOL!!!!!  (they personally asked me what wine did I want from NZ....seems they stalked my social media account prior to coming.  hahahaha  - love it and made my day!
