Our rentals are very pet friendly. I can add a cleaning fee... an extra person fee.... a sucurity deposit.....where is the pet fee? If there is none please tell me the reason for this. I handle irritation much better if I know why:) Rene
I agree. I am able to make my own fees on the other site I use but this site is severly limiting. It takes longer to clean after pets because their fur gets everywhere (screens, ceiling fans, furniture). I'm a pet owner so I'm not discriminating but it takes longer to clean a house after a pet has been there.
Would love the option of a pet fee !
We have all our property on INSTANT book, and nearly all guests who bring a pet dont tell you about it until they arrive.
All our NON air BnB bookings all have a pet fee...
So come on AIR BnB . . add the PET fee button and a fee slot !

I, too, would appreciate a pet-fee-button. Although most of the pets that come through cause minimal extra cleaning, there are the exceptions that require quite a bit of extra time. As a pet owner, myself, who likes to bring the dogs along, it irritates me when hosts/hotels charge an arm and a leg for a pet fee. Something like $10 per night per pet, seems reasonable. I've never had to spend more than an hour cleaning up after pets, and that was after 2 shelties for 4 nights whose owner didn't use the doggie sheet provided.
So, yes, thumbs for the implementation of the pet fee button 🙂
I want to share an idea that I have been using with good results and happy guests. I include a pet kit in my rental. The kit is a dog bed, which I use as a basket for the other things, a sheet, 2 towels, poop bags, and a small jar of dog treats. I put a note on it saying "Please help me keep this house dog friendly. Put the sheet over the bed if your dog is going to get on it, use these towels if your dog is wet or muddy, and feel free to use the dog bed and other supplies." People have responded well to this approach.
I agree that there should be an option to charge a fee, because they often create more clean up work, even when they have done nothing wrong.
What to charge for pet stay
