cancellation policy

Hi,

My apartment has been listed for about four years now, I guess, and for the first time I had to cancel a reservation. I was too fast in accepting a reservation request but after two minutes I realised my error and corrected it. I also gave a clear explanation to the guest and to Airbnb. Next thing I know is that Airbnb says: "you're at risk!" and my lisiting may be taken off. I find this pretty rude. Does anybody else has similar experiences and what to do about it?

Thanks already for responses.

The worst thing you can do in the eyes of AirBnB is cancel a guest's reservation.

All the platform sees is that you have upset their travel plans and the penalties you get are pretty stiff: calendar blocked, financial penalty plus stopped from being a Superhost for a year.

All you can do is contact AirBnB and plead your case and see if they will reverse the penalties.

Thanks Gerry and/or Rashid, as this is the first time I had to cancel, would you know how to contact Airbnb and plead my case?

@Kees5  They're just automated emails from Airbnb - I wouldn't take it so personally.
