I am traveling to India my host requires passport and visa to be sent to their email as mentioned that it's a requirement.And also to hand over a copy to caretaker of the house .

Is it common.What if it is misused

Hi @Bhumika 

Yes I have contacted Airbnb customer support chat which is more like generic AI chat.

If I required by law where I am traveling to then I need to provide my ID otherwise all my ID has been verified by AiRbnb

If I need to share my ID I will do through Airbnb App.

I think that's the safest way
