Should I contact my host that I'm not of age?

Recently my mom booked a trip to Panama for me and my friends. This is just to get away from family and go somewhere much warmer. I got a group of 8 friends to go with me and we are all willing to pay (the youngest of us is 18 and the oldest is 20). My mom trusts us a lot and went ahead and booked the trip for us because we are not yet 25. Therefore, the host information provided goes to my mom's phone and all the important stuff. His rules state that the 25-year-old renter should be present during the trip and guest will be ID (no college students for spring break). We are all college level with 2 of us working full time and others going into business management majors and pre-med. We are very responsible and good kids and could take better care of this place than most adults. Should I contact the owner and tell him the truth and that we aren't there to party or anything?

@Mason75   Please understand that the host may be more than happy to have a responsible group of under-25s, BUT his licensing and insurance may be in jeopardy if he goes forward with your booking.

1.  My licensing defines a guest initiating a booking as being over the age of 25.  I will lose my license if I knowingly rent to underage persons.

2. If there is a problem during the reservation, and there is no adult person over the age of 25 in residence or the person who initiated the rental is not present (your mom), my insurance will not protect me or the guests and will be cancelled.

It isn't that you and your friends are not trustworthy or responsible persons.

@Mason75 yes you should contact the host. As a 3rd party booking this breaks Airbnb rules so you can expect to be turned away by the host.

I agree that you should contact the Host and explain your true intentions for your stay with yourself, plus seven more underage guests.  You, would have to manage all 7 of your friends to be quiet & respectful of all the house rules. It may be a lot for you to take on.
I appreciate that you are trying to be honest.
