Why users can't s[peak with hoster without payments?

I'm not understand, how it possible to find properly apartment if i can write to the person and understand who is the host?

Why any booking that i try to book airbnb send me to the payment page and do not give me a chance to make clearence with hoster about all needed condition ?

Why i must feel suffering abount refund money of something will go wrong if i pay and can't get my booking??
And even, why i can't just speak with hoster before i will pay???

this is so stupid and enrange people to facing with big problem if something will go wrong with host??

@Евгений55 You can send a booking  enquiry to any host before you actually book the place. This will enable you to check the place meets your needs. You cannot however speak to the host but actually it is better that everything discussed is recorded on the Airbnb messaging system.

While your caution is understandable, imaging if all hosts & guests could connect direct freely (meaning outside the Airbnb platform)  how many bookings will happen cutting Airbnb out, which would delegate them to nothing more than 'free advertisers'.
