Booking cancellation

Had a booking which the guest cancelled a week before the check-in.  He was totally refunded as the rules chosen by me , okay. But I had had another contact for the same period by someone else and when I tried to contact the guy, the contact had already expired at Airbnb site ... how could I get in contact with the potential guest ?
