A potential guest contacted me and showed up as confirmed but I had another guest arriving same day. I contacted the guest within one hour and apologized that I couldn't host him. Instead of him canceling he asked me to cancel so I did.
I usually answer guests through email when I see Airbnb logo in my in box. The guest said he didn't see my message with my apology for cancelling. I have auto book and wondered if it's glitchy? Today my Calendar won't open!
I'm not sure but: - auto book, by that you mean you have turned on "instant book" feature - This is the case of being overbooked (by your mistake) - I think that once YOU as a host cancel an active booking, because you can not accomodate the guest due to no availbilty, you can't reopen them afterwards. You get somehow penalized.
