Hi all,
I am relatively new to hosting but have now welcomed around 20 guests and all have given me a 5* review with 100% of guests submitting reviews. However, AirBnB are reporting that only 21% of guests have posted reviews which would mean that I don't get my Superhost standard on 1st July.!
Has anyone else encountered this problem and, if so, how did you resolve it?
Thank you in anticipation....
Pauline
Many hosts in NZ have noticed the same problem. Hopefully it will be fixed soon! I have also contaced them and reported a bug.
Same happened to me. Freaked out when I saw 13% knowing that probably at least 3/4 of my guests leave a review. Great to see it's not just me :))
Me too! Just seen this on my progress page @ 29%, which cannot be right as I have only 1 guest all this year who has failed to leave a review. I think they were just v busy and travelling so the deadline passed them by.
phew! I’m relieved to have found this thread and will now also try and contact Air bnb (which is also a challenge). Anni
Same here, not even the Trip reviewed from 80% to 25%.
My overall rating also decreased from 4.9 to 4.5
Hope Airbnb will solve the problems soon.
Same here ! from 86% to 29%, hope Airbnb fix the problem soon
Hi @Pauline394
I have same problem. Use to have 92% and now 11 %
Find it strange that Airbnb haven’t comment ???
This has happened to me here in Australia, too. I'll phone Airbnb tomorrow. Hoping for a positive outcome worldwide.
Hi all and thanks for your feedback....
I've now spoken to AirBnB and they said that it is an error at their end and they are working to correct it. They have said that if it isn't resolved by mid July to phone them as they can manually change the status if this is the case.
Fingers crossed that it get's resolved - I think that the more people that phone/message them then the more likely they are to address the problem quickly....
Pauline
The next date for superhost status is July 1st so if the issue doesn’t get fixed before then, it’s going to be detrimental for a lot of people.
And if, like me, your progress is showing a negative rating, that’s likely to impact on bookings.
Forget about super host status it’s an Airbnb obsession and tyranny to beat your own back with, some of the very best contributors on this community have given up on super host status.
I’m not even sure with the volume of hosts on the platform with super host status, it makes a dam bit of difference based on what I’ve read.
May be, if “super super Host status” was a thing or “super super super-duper host status” was a thing it might be worth considering otherwise go with the flow.
The things you need to concentrate on is providing your guests with a comfortable, clean and hospitable environment commensurate with the price you charge, so forgot about “Frette bedlinen” and handmade chocolate on the pillows…
The biggest single driven for price per night and occupancy level is LOCATION, so if you lucky enough to own an apartment that has views of the Eiffel tower, super host status won’t matter a nmaD.
Hi Cormac,
I had understood that potential guests can search for 'Superhost' status properties alone - so if I don't have Superhost status I wouldn't even show up in their search. Is this not correct?
Thanks,
Pauline.
I talked to a good number of people and the first consideration for them is price per night, so bear that in mind.
Hi all,
I found it easy to contact them : use this link and then click on 'it's something else' and then 'I still need help' and you come to links for messaging or phoning them.... good luck!
It has happened to us too. Showing as 22% when it should be around 80%. Comforting to know that it is not just us. But it did come as a shock to see it. Lets hope it is sorted soon.
I got this response
I'm Cristina, based in Orlando, FL and an Airbnb Expert. I'm here to assist you today.
I'm so sorry about this
There is an issue. It seems to be a temporary technical issue. Airbnb technical department have been notified and they are trying their best to fix this as soon as possible from their side.
Please don't worry this will not affect the coming Superhost assessment.
Your patience are much appreciated
Regards,
Cristina
