Hi,

I will rent an apartment monthly but I have some doubts.

The host lives in another country and will lease me the apartment through airbnb.

Is this possible ? Is there anyone on the airbnb who visits the house?

It's a popular scam. In a nutshell -

1. They want you to wire them money - 2. there is no flat - 3. they mention airbnb only to give the scam a sheen of credibility.

Walk away. wise up and look on a reputable site for your accomodation.

I have a friend who rents a house out monthly while she lives in another country. She comes back to stay in her house a few months of the year so it is quite convenient to rent it on Airbnb. Her situation is very legitimate and works well for everyone.
