Just a head's up. I don't know if you have gotten notice of this service or not. But I feel I need to warn you.
I applied for an advance with this company and they refused it on false pretenses.
a. They said I hadn't been an AirBNB host for more than three months. I've been hosting for over a year almost continuously.
b. They said I didn't sign the paperwork. I did sign the paperwork and have the emails proving I did.
c. They said my bank account was not the one used with AirBNB. It is. It's the only bank account I have.
d. They said my policies are "STRICT" and they are not.
Plus they do not provide a phone for you to reach out to them. Then when I tried to log on, it demanded I link my AirBNB account again, and then said it couldn't because it was linked to another account. I just cancelled and took away their access to my bank account. Just be aware. This is not what it seems.
I loved clearbanc. They were upfront with their policies and fees, plus they only took 1/2 of each rental. A huge plus for the small Airbnb hosts like myself.
A month or so after paying off my second advance I was contacted by text/phone by my Clearbanc asking if I needed another loan. I emailed the Clearbanc rep a week or two later. Then filled out the request forms (just like I had for the previous 2 x loans). Unlike my previous experiences though, it took almost a week to hear back! I only received a call after using the web chat help!
The only thing I was told I needed to do was to reconnect my Airbnb account to Clearbanc (just like I had done before.)
No one mentioned the policy changes.
After all that... I finally got a response, it was the same as Alison received... "does not qualify for another advance...."
I was disappointed because I was relying them, especially after my Clearbanc rep was the one who approached me directly!
Clearbanc referred me to Payfully, which by then I had already registered for. However, I was experiencing an issue linking my Airbnb to Payfully, and had not received a response from Payfully support. (I kept/keep receiving a "two auth needed" error bubble on the link screen.) How frustrating!
A week later I received an email from Payfully stating that due to increased demand they weren't on-boarding new users. Apparently tha was the reason for the error I was experiencing?!
Did anyone have a similar experience signing up for Payfully?
Are there any other alternatives to Payfully and Clearbanc?
Has anyone ben told by payfully that they are going to a new payout model in September?
