We are indeed aware of the situation and I'd like to thank everyone in the CC who's been logging any issues they have on this.

 

We've been flagging it with the team internally, so hopefully we'll have an update on the matter soon.

Solved. Both stuck payment from 2019 and 2020 are resolved and processing now.  Took a while (around a week) for airbnb support to get in contact but the payout issues got resolved very quickly once they do. Really Thankful there is airbnb community that provide faster response and assurance that issues are being raised. Thank you all. @Nick @Peter2736

Hi @Deidre1  sorry to hear this is taking so long. I won't get an update on that I'm afraid. All I could do from my end was to let them know there is an issue. They will contact you, or alternatively, you can try them again.

We haven’t received payouts either. We contacts support. We’re told that we had to wait 14 days for it not to be resolved before it could be escalated. It’s been 16 days. We received an unhelpful message just apologising but not offering an explanation or solution to the problem. I’ve sent several messages since but it’s been a day and no response. 
I wonder if air bnb is going into liquidation?

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing the same issue as some people here : no payout for a rental which started on July 18th and ended a week ago now, payment still "pending" (it says "July 19th"...). I reached support by phone two times (July 26th and August 4th), same answer : "technical problem, we are transfering your problem to the "team in charge". No following of the issue.

We are August 9th now !!!!!!!!!!!  What is the problem ???????
Note : my guests made the reservation and paid in january. ABB got the money for 6 months...

I host in NYC, and I was almost fully booked from Febuary to May until COVID hit. All guests canceled with a full refund. I received no relief funds even though I was told by a few customer service reps that I qualified for six cancelations. 

 

I finally got my first booking since February this month. That said, Airbnb is currently late on paying me, and I've called customer support with little clarity on why the payment has been held up. Like everyone, I'm struggling to pay rent and bills, so this situation isn't helping, and with the IPO coming, I feel a bit used and left out to dry.

ABB is telling everyone that they are looking into the issue and yet hosts are not being contacted, and when we try to express the frustration that there is no support, we get the "error" on our messages or get the standard voicemail message. I have blocked out all my dates until I get paid. Maybe that is what all Hosts should do unilaterally so that Airbnb can really feel what we are feeling!!! 

My husband said he read an article that Airbnb is trying to go public on the stock market. Maybe they are hanging onto our money to make their books look for liquid. who knows.....

I heard from ABB Community Support today (took about 2 weeks) and the issue with my pending payout is the guest's credit or debit card did not cover her additional days. ABB has asked her to make payment by Aug 24, but they did not tell me what the recourse will be if she doesn't respond. This begs the question as to who will ultimately be responsible for the missing payment-- them or me. Since hosts have no means to vet a guest's payment method, hosts do not receive payment until at least 24 hours after guests check in, and hosts are prohibited from arranging payment outside of ABB, hosts have no recourse in these instances. It would be patently unfair and, it seems to me, a breach of the basic agreement between ABB and hosts if we are not able to collect our missing payments. @Nick @Peter2736 @Edwin11 @Sophie1591 @Roman149

Hi Deidre1, thanks for your update. For me it would be rather worrying if it is our obligation to be responsible for missing payments. In my opinion this is ABB‘s task, but as I am not a lawyer, it would be interesting to have an answer on this.

 

Btw, all the other pay-outs have been received exactly on time,  thx, ABB!

@Peter2736  No, I don't, and unlike @Deidre1 I'm not given to speculation about things that haven't happened yet.  I don't even speculate about US presidential election results.

 

Aside from system problems like the one we saw this summer, I suspect many payout complaints are related to faulty or insufficient payment methods.

I received the following message from ABB today after their deadline to the guest to update her payment info passed--

 

"Please be advised that even though your guest has not successfully completed their full payment, Airbnb has issued the remaining payout to you for $285.47, it may take up to 3-5 business days for the funds to be available on your account.

Hope this helps.

Payment problems are rare, but when they do occur, we do our best to assist the guest with correcting the issue, while keeping the host informed. If you are ever notified of a payment problem, please feel free to ask us to cancel the reservation at any time without penalty to you.

We have contacted your guest with instructions on how to complete the payment to Airbnb. With the cooperation of your guest, we can work to collect the balance so everything can continue as scheduled."

Hi! I am also having delays with my payout! It’s been more than 9 days already! My payout got sent out on the 10th and should have arrived on the 17th but I haven’t received anything yet!

 

I am also going to block the days and stop using AirBnB, my company can’t afford the risks of no payments!
