Not receiving emails from guests

A few guests have mentioned that they sent me an email.  I have never received a guest email through airbnb - not even sure what to check.  My profile email address is correct.  Any advice from anyone?

1. Make sure your profile is linked to the email you are checking.
2. Make sure it isn't going to your spam
3. Make sure you refresh and send all push notifications to phone from email and air bnb in your phone settings.
4. If none of this works then contact air bnb.

    Hi Ron.....Gee, you're a game man mentioning the other half like that!!!!

Ron the first thing you should do is check your settings!

If you log onto your listing in the toolbar at the top of the page the last option will be 'Account'.

Hit this tab and you should see the following screen.....

Scroll to your email settings and make sure that both are still checked.

And the box above the email settings regarding 'text message settings' also needs constant attention

From time to time Ronald odd things do happen that alters your settings and it is wise to go through all your account settings frequently to make sure that everything will run as it should.

This may not be your problem Ron but....it's a good place to start....cheers.....Rob

This has happened to us a few times and luckily the guest perservered and sent us a second email. There are some bugs in the platform and they randomly affect many users (hosts and guests).

@Gerry-And-Rashid0...Yes, I fully agree with you guys. Before October last year notifications were fairly reliable, but since then trying to remain in contact with Airbnb by cellular means has been, to say the least, poor. I have reset my sms notifications a few times and within a few days, or even a week or two I have to reset them again. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I spend a lot of time away from my computer and I do depend on a mobile service to stay in contact. WiFi coverage outside of metropolitan areas is essentially non existant and even an internet service through a mobile phone is still a cellular service so carrying a computer or tablet around with you is useless. 

I feel sorry not just for myself but for everyone else who are having this issue because we will be hit (I already have) with negative response times because there is now no reliable Airbnb notification service....... unless you are in a situation where you can sit on top of an ethernet service, or a reliable internet WiFi...cheers.....Rob

I have been in contact with airbnb now since early October when I started having problems - NO EMAIL ALERTS from airbnb - this affects the guests as they are trying to plan and reserve accommodations and also affects my response time and "host status" ! Plus once guests are in accommodations they may need to contact the host and since the host doesn't recieve the email alert we don't know the guest needs help or has an issue. We offer lots of extra services such as arranging tours, hikes, taxis, massages ....but we cannot do this for our guests if we don't know they sent an email via airbnb. 

Push notifications only work with iphone/android devices which we don't use in Nicaragua but we do receive SMS text messages but cannot respond - either way the AIRBNB system is not working for many hosts/guests ....!

Contacted airbnb immediately....checked all my airbnb and email settings and assured them nothing is going to spam either....as I am seeing that the same thing is happening to many hosts who are using the discussion rooms on the airbnb community center THERE IS A BUG/SNAFU and airbnb cannot fix it .....! REALLY FRUSTRATING ! Going on 3 months now ....customer service says that the techies are trying ....but I have lost my SUPER Host Status. 

Has anybody found another way to make the system work ....I even tried putting in a different email address.....Nothing !

 

 

 

   I am getting the same no emails -  I have to log in to stay current.  Must be a glitch.

same problems....for last 4 months we are not reciving email notifications from guests....

it is imposible to work like this...

nobody answer from airbnb...it is a shame for such a big company...
